What this website collects

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. All fonts and files are served from our own hosting, so nothing is loaded from third-party servers. When you visit, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, for security and technical purposes.

When you contact us

If you call or email, we use what you send us to reply, to check for conflicts of interest and, if you instruct us, to act on your matter. Before accepting a new client we are required by law to carry out identity and due diligence checks.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing our engagement, and complying with our legal and professional obligations, including anti money laundering law and the rules of the Cyprus Bar Association.

Who else sees it

Your information is covered by professional secrecy. It is shared only with service providers we rely on to run the office, such as email and document storage, with courts, authorities or other parties where your matter requires it, or where the law obliges us to.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within a reasonable time. Client files and due diligence records are kept for as long as the law and professional rules require, which is usually several years after the matter closes.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to its use, subject to our legal obligations. Write to costas@apokides.com. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
